How Can I Protect My New Roof?

Awesome, congrats on your new roof! It’s understandable that this is a significant investment. Keep in mind just because you have a new roof with a warranty it does NOT mean you can forget about your roof. As the Director of Operations and Sales for RoofingSource, I explain below step-by-step how to protect and extend the life of your brand new roof.

New roof owners you can extend the life of your roof by following these steps:

  1. Understand your warranty - First step is to ensure you have it on file. Not sure? I can help in that process! Shoot me an email if you need assistance. In the meantime, learn more about your roof's warranty here.

  2. Schedule routine maintenance - Routinely having professional eyes on your roof can prevent issues before they happen. Check out our RoofCare program here.

  3. Limit foot traffic on your roof - Other rooftop vendors often puncture or tear the roofing membrane, which can lead to unannounced roof leaks. (Remember, your warranty does not protect your roof from third party damage).

  4. Ensure your grease is properly contained - Uncontrolled grease can cause chemical damage and erode your new roof’s material.

Below is what your roof could look like without proper attention & maintenance.
